HOLIDAY HOME
We are located in the pleasant town of Camporosso in the Val Canale, since Roman times, a strategic gateway to the northern territories of the Empire. A meeting point for cultures, traditions and languages, Žabnice in Slovenian, Saifnitz in German and Cjamparòs in Friulian. Here, where cultures meet, the waters divide. Indeed, we are located exactly on the watershed between the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea.
Today Camporosso is decidedly devoted to tourism, both winter and summer and offers tourists various opportunities for recreation. From climbing to relaxing walks in the centuries-old woods of the Tarvisio forest. From ski mountaineering on the severe and steep slopes of the Julian Alps to pleasant snowshoeing on the gentler Carnic Alps. You can ski on the Lussari ski areas or go deep into the precious Val Saisera. Cyclists can get lost in the beautiful forest trails or take the old railway track which, in a breathtaking setting of tunnels, bridges and fantastic views, leads to the sea or reaches the cycle paths of Slovenia and Austria. The festivals dedicated to local traditions, the wide range of cultural, naturalistic and historical offerings, the rich culinary tradition and the equally rich local and regional production of DOC, DOCG, DOP and IGP products make this environment unique and indispensable.
In this wonderful ecosystem, Larix has decided to build a wooden hut perfectly inserted in the environmental context and with a very high standard of energy sustainability to offer the most demanding tourists a relaxing, natural and pure living environment. The construction materials are those typically used over the centuries but the technologies are at the forefront in terms of sustainability and renewability.
A mix of geothermal and solar powers a heating system that is able to maintain a pleasant temperature in every season, to control humidity and to carry out a complete change of air throughout the hut every hour. Particular attention was paid to the design of the acoustic and thermal insulation of the entire hut. Traditional architecture and the extensive use of wood will be the setting for an unforgettable holiday.
